Jiangsu LNG started the battle to ensure supply in winter

At 12 noon on the 29th of last month, after 16 hours of unloading at the Jiangsu LNG terminal terminal, the "Daria" loaded with 168,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas successfully completed the unloading. This is the 57th LNG vessel welcomed by the station in 2017 and the last ship of the year. Last year, Jiangsu LNG terminals received and unloaded a total of 4.36 million tons of LNG, both the number of ships received and the total amount of LNG received and unloaded set a record in the past six years.

With the arrival of the peak of winter gas consumption, domestic gas consumption continues to be urgent, Jiangsu LNG terminal, which undertakes the task of ensuring supply in winter every year, does its best to ensure the heating of residents in winter, and by improving the efficiency of receiving and unloading, optimizing operation, under the condition of 22 days of operation time per month, it has set a record of receiving and unloading 10 ships per month, and is expected to receive and unload 20 ships during the winter supply guarantee period of the next two and a half months.

From berthing to departure from the port, the Australian "Daria" took only 23 hours, and the handling efficiency was twice that of the past, and the key to this is the "split socket". "The first ship is picked up and unloaded at the pier, and before it is about to leave the berth, the pilot of the other ship has already brought in another ship, berthed in a safe water, and when the ship on the pier leaves the berth, it will be berthed immediately to form a seamless docking. Miao Xiaochen, manager of the production and operation center of PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Co., Ltd., explained that the use of the "split socket" mode in the berthing process of the ship is a major innovation in the current supply guarantee period of the Jiangsu LNG terminal.

After continuous exploration in recent years, Jiangsu LNG terminal has formed a mature and perfect winter supply guarantee operation mechanism, organized and improved the process equipment control scheme under different gasification transmission volumes, and all six production lines can run at full load at the same time, and increase or decrease the export volume at any time according to the instructions of the control center, which greatly increases the flexibility and stability of supply guarantee.

While making every effort to ensure supply, Jiangsu LNG terminals have also played an important role in promoting clean energy. Especially in the context of the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to "promote the revolution of energy production and consumption", Jiangsu, as a major economic province, ranks first in the country in terms of annual consumption and growth, and the province's natural gas consumption reached 23 billion cubic meters last year. Backed by the Yangtze River Delta and radiating East China and even the whole country, Jiangsu LNG has a significant position in the province's clean energy supply, accounting for 33% of the East China market in a single day.

Since it was put into operation in May 2011, Jiangsu LNG terminal has played an important role in ensuring supply and peak regulation in East China, and now, with the adjustment of the national energy structure, the LNG terminal expansion project is about to begin. Miao Xiaochen revealed that with the continuous growth of gas demand, the third phase of Jiangsu LNG reconstruction and expansion project is being planned, and the expansion project will build two new storage tanks to increase storage capacity; The peak shaving project will build 4 new storage tanks and add 1 new natural gas export pipeline, which will provide a new guarantee for the natural gas supply in East China and even the whole country after it is put into operation.
