Product uses and characteristics

Pilot operated safety pressure relief valve is the latest structural product in China's nineties, mainly used in oil and gas, chemical industry, electric power, metallurgy and city gas and other production fields, in order to protect pressure vessels, process devices and pipelines to avoid overpressure, to ensure the normal progress and safety of production. The main feature of the pilot type safety pressure relief valve is that the direct action of the variable spring is the indirect action of the pilot valve, which improves the sensitivity of pressure sensing, and the main valve adopts the sleeve type soft and hard double seal valve core seat structure, which has high action accuracy, good repeatability, fast return seat, no leakage, can have high back pressure discharge, long working life, stable and reliable work. It can also be adjusted online, and it can still automatically return to the seat and close tightly after repeated start and jump discharge, without disassembling and grinding the spool and seat, which is convenient for operation and maintenance.

The main form factor

Bore series and mounting connection size

◆ (K) AX46-1.6 pilot operated safety valve diameter series and installation connection size are shown in Figure 1 and Table 4, and the nominal pressure of the inlet and outlet is 1.6MPa.

◆ (K) AX46-6.3 pilot operated safety valve diameter series and installation connection size shown in Figure 2 and Table 5, the inlet nominal pressure is 6.3MPa, the outlet nominal pressure is 4.0MPa.

◆ (K) AX46-10.0 pilot operated safety valve diameter series and installation connection size shown in Figure 2 and Table 6, the inlet nominal pressure is 10.0MPa, the outlet nominal pressure is 4.0MPa.

Product Structure

The pilot safety valve is composed of a main valve and a pilot valve, which are connected into a system with a Φ14×3 impulse pipe. (K) AX46-1.6 pilot operated safety valve (as shown in Figure 1) is a diaphragm structure, the main valve is mainly composed of a diaphragm cover, a corrugated diaphragm, a tray, a push rod, a main spring, a valve core, a sleeve, a valve seat and a valve body, etc., and the pilot valve is mainly composed of a valve body, a valve cover, an adjusting screw, a setting spring, a nozzle baffle and a throttle piece.

(K) AX46-6.3 and 10.0 pilot operated safety valve is a piston structure, the main valve is mainly composed of bonnet, main spring, spool, sleeve, seat and valve body, etc., and the pilot valve is mainly composed of valve body, bonnet, spool, valve port, piston, setting spring, adjusting screw, etc. (as shown in Figure 2). In the case of dirty media, a small filter is also installed in front of the pilot valve.

How it works

This pilot-operated safety valve uses a pilot valve to sense and give a signal to the pressure signal of the controlled medium. When the pressure in front of the safety valve is lower than the setting pressure, the pilot valve and the main valve are in a closed state without leakage, the main valve is a self-sealing structure, the closer the pressure in front of the valve is to the setting pressure, the tighter the closure; When the pressure in front of the valve reaches or exceeds the setting pressure, the pilot valve is opened, the main valve is opened quickly, and the medium is discharged; When the pre-valve pressure returns below the setting pressure, the pilot valve closes and the main valve closes with it.
